49er Rebound Spring 2020 Enrollment starts in January. Students who are placed on academic probation at the conclusion of their first semester at UNC Charlotte are required to participate in 49er Rebound. Students should follow instructions from their Colleges regarding enrollment.
Students in 49er Rebound select a program option that will best meet their needs. Options include:
UCOL 1300: Academic Success Seminar
This is a 10-week, graded, 2-credit hour course designed to focus on academic skills and understanding campus resources. Students become part of a small classroom community that fosters connections with other students and the instructor. Attend a 49er Rebound Workshop or talk with your 49er Rebound College Representative for an authorization to enroll in the course.
Students meet one-on-one with an undergraduate peer mentor on a weekly basis to develop an individualized plan to return to good academic standing. Participants develop effective academic strategies, learn to improve time management, connect with campus resources, and more. Attend a 49er Rebound Workshop to enroll.
UCOL 1305: 49er Focus (Spring Semester Only)
A weekly 75-minute zero credit, discussion group focused on skill development to help students succeed academically. Topics include time management, study skills, goal setting, and more. Each group is open to 12 students and is facilitated by campus professionals dedicated to student success. Attend a 49er Rebound Workshop or talk with your 49er Rebound College Representative for an authorization to enroll.
Students should follow instructions from their 49er Rebound College Representatives about how to participate in 49er Rebound. 49er Rebound sign-ups must be completed by the end of the drop/add period each semester.
