49er Rebound Fall 2017 Enrollment starts in August 2017! Students who are placed on academic probation at the conclusion of their first semester at UNC Charlotte are expected to participate in 49er Rebound. Students should follow instructions from their Colleges regarding participation.
Students in 49er Rebound select a program option that will best meet their needs. Options include:
- UCOL 1300: Academic Success Seminar. This is a 10-week, graded, 2-credit hour course designed to focus on academic skills and understanding campus resources. Students become part of a small classroom community that fosters connections with other students and the instructor. Attend a 49er Rebound Workshop or talk with your Academic Advisor for an authorization to enroll in the course.
- Students Obtaining Success (SOS) Peer Mentoring Program. Students meet one-on-one with an undergraduate peer mentor on a weekly basis to develop an individualized plan to return to good academic standing. Participants develop effective academic strategies, learn to improve time management, connect with campus resources, and more. Attend a 49er Rebound Workshop to email email@example.com to enroll.
- 49er Focus (Spring Semester Only). A weekly 75-minute discussion group that focus on skills development to help students succeed academically. Topics include time management, study skills, goal setting, and more. Each group is open to 12 students and is facilitated by campus professionals dedicated to student success. Attend a 49er Rebound Workshop or talk with your Academic Advisor to sign up for 49er Focus.
Students should follow instructions from their academic advisors about how to participate in 49er Rebound. 49er Rebound sign-ups must be completed by the end of the drop/add period each semester.
